I'm Signe Hermann. This web page is currently under construction, which explains its peculiar look and its lack of text in other languages than Danish. Bare with me, it'll all show up at some stage. In the meantime you can look at pictures by clicking at the links named "Galleri x" or "Haikus**-illustrationer" . You will find my CV too, below the links to the left. And a few poems in English, if you click the link Texts in English. If you happen to be able to read Danish, you can find loads of poems by clicking "Mine digte på digte.dk".
In all of 2007, I was travelling with the Travelling Scholarship for Mathematicians. You'll find a bit more about that by clicking the link "Rejselegat / Travelling Scholarship" under "Signe's Links ".
In 2009 I'm travelling again. I've been employed with OPEN UNIVERSITY OF TANZANIA and am now living in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
I have a Master's Degree in Math from the university of Copenhagen. I write, draw, paint, design and sew clothes. I dance, salsa and African, though without much proficiency in either. I travel as much as I can. I am a member of the Danish Refugee Council (Dansk Flygtningehjælp, they have a website in English too), in whose voluntary homework aid programme I participate . I used to work on a holistic HIV/AIDS project in the small country of Swaziland on the border of Mozambique and South Africa, but it never got DANIDA (The Danish Governmental Development Fund) funding. In the end, I made a little info website, where among other things you will find some articles that I got published in a Danish news paper. There's a link in the left hand menu.
