Choosing

I don’t want all the insecurity and aggression
I want to be able to close my eyes and laugh
Without fearing what will happen when I cannot see
Listening to the melody of the wind
No matter if it’s a storm or a breeze
I want to be able to hear the melody of the wind

I don’t want all the bitterness and depression
I want to walk erect in the sunshine
Trailing my hand along the sunflowers
Listening to the song of the sky
No matter if it’s overcast or clear
I want to be able to hear the song of the sky

I don’t want all the confusion and transgression
I want to find my little spot of sun warmed earth without getting lost
In the labyrinth of all the things they tell me I should want
Listening to the voice of the air
No matter if it’s heavy or hazy
I want to be able to hear the voice of the air

I don’t want all the anger and suppression
I want to speak my heart loud and clear
I want to bare my face without feeling fear
Listening to hum of the world
No matter if it’s crowded or still
I want to be able to hear the hum of the world
