Rejselegat for Matematikere / Traveling Scholarship for Mathematicians:

Humanitarian Logistics or the Use of Quantitative methods in Humanitarian Security.

In 2006, I was awarded a portion of the Travelling Scholarship for Mathematicians. This scholarship allows you to travel for one year around the world (specifically in no less than 2 and preferably no more than 3 countries) in order to study math. I was at a French speaking university in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, and at the research institute CSIR in Pretoria, South Africa. During my stay in South Africa I participated in the international ORSSA/ORPA conference in Cape Town, where I gave the following presentation:

Humanitarian Logistics or the Use of Quantitative methods in Humanitarian Security.

You have to submit 3 x 2 reports, respectively about your cultural and mathematical experiences. I attach them below and add the rest of the reports in English as soon as I get them translated.

Reports:

Kulturelt

Fagligt

Culturally

Mathematically

Canada Canada Canada Canada
Sydafrika 1 Sydafrika 1 South Africa 1 South Africa 1
Sydafrika 2 Sydafrika 2 South Africa 2 South Africa 2

Finally, you have to submit one last report, which I will attach here as soon as I get it translated.
